Model: Marshall

Photographer: Personal Photo

Comment: This was my very first body painting. It was my final assignment for a two day body painting workshop back in May of 2009. If you look closely, you'll notice that the shirt is painted on, too!

Flowers
Flowers
Model: Amanda Sofia Villalobos

Photographer: Aaron Burg / Latent Image Photography

Comment: This was a photo shoot for the inside cover of a CD of love songs. I was inspired by a wonderful artist from Russia and her amazing one-stroke flower and leaf technique.

Model: Ffjorren

Photographer: Beau Bumpas

Assistant: Judi Peterson

Comment: This was the preliminary entry for a body painting competition in Dallas, Texas. We were hoping to make it into the top 25, and ended up coming in 8th place!

Heroes And Villains
Model: Christina Sherie

Photographer: Connie Barding / The Photographic Art Studio

Assistant: Lynn Takacs

Comment: This was painted for a gala at a wonderful gallery in Alameda, CA. Their theme for the month was heroes and villains. It was so much fun to go out to dinner with the evil queen after the gallery gala!

That's No Moon
That's No Moon
Model: Rainey

Photographer: Connie Barding / The Photographic Art Studio

Comment: Rainey's husband is a HUGE Star Wars fan. He would have named the baby Chewbacca if she had let him. Luckily, they had a girl. :0) We decided to paint the Death Star from Star Wars on her (1 week before due date) belly. It was such a fun, special and personal gift for him to open Christmas morning!

Insight
Insight
Model: Jesse

Photographer: Personal Photo

Comment: This is a real "eye catcher." I painted and took this picture at a monthly body painting jam session at the Frank Bette Center For The Arts. The theme for that month was "insight." So I decided to take it literally.

Bride
Bride
Model: Ffjorren

Photographer: Connie Barding / The Photographic Art Studio

Comment: This is the fourth time I've had the opportunity to paint Ffjorren. She's a pleasure to work with and an amazing model. Of course, Connie is an incredible photographer and I always look forward to working with her. She has a great eye and is truly an artist.

If you or anyone you know will be getting married, this is the perfect personal gift for the bride-to-be to give her groom on their wedding day!

Egyptian Goddess
Egyptian Goddess
Model: Brianisha

Photographer: Sue Lomolino

Comment: Body painting was on her bucket list and she wanted to treat herself to a body painting session for her 25th birthday. We met for coffee and came up with a plan. I joke that I flew her to Africa and hired a trained cheetah for this shoot!
We didn’t actually fly to Africa, but I did have a blast putting the finishing touches on this Egyptian Goddess!

Out There
Out There
Model: Raven Le Faye

Photographer: Ronald Nelson

Comment: I just felt like doing something really "out there". Something that doesn't make very much sense, but is fun to look at. Jellyfish are one of the many strange and bizarre creatures that must be from another world. From somewhere out there. I love the way Raven is posing in this photo. Like maybe she is contemplating the same thing.

A's Fan
A's Fan
Model: Tanya

Photographer: Connie Barding / The Photographic Art Studio

Comment: Tanya decided to give her hubby this fun, sexy gift for his birthday. Lucky guy! (He's a huge Oakland A's fan, of course). I thought it would be fun to take three of our favorite photos and make it look like a team. Connie worked her magic and I love the results! Hope he did, too :0) Thanks to Tanya for being such a good "sport".

Message of Love
Message of Love
Model: Louisa

Comment: What man wouldn't love a personal gift like this? Louisa is gorgeous and Connie is truly an artist :0)

Blue Moon
Blue Moon
Model: Jessica

Photographer: Michael Pisias

Comment: This was a super-fun paint and shoot!
I always wanted to do a more abstract and monochromatic painting and this one killed two birds with one stone (horrible expression)! The circles in the background were made from cardboard cake rounds. I airbrushed them and hung from fishing line. Then put a swim cap on her head and also covered with cardboard rounds. I was happy with the results.
Working with Michael and Jessica was a real treat :0)

Vineyard Ringmaster
Vineyard Ringmaster
Model: Ffjorren

Photographer: Paul Lomolino

Comment: This was painted live at a super-fun event at Oak Farm Vineyards in Lodi, CA. The theme of their Halloween event was old world circus. I thought I'd do a grape/ringmaster.

Eternal Servitude
Eternal Servitude
Model: Donald Davison

Photographer: Sue Lomolino

Comment: This was something I just wanted to do for the fun of it, and Donald was up for the adventure. I’ve recently been playing with a new art app and wanted to see if I could put him into a cool background and have him coming out of a lamp....ta-da.
I’m now thoroughly addicted to this program. No more being dependent on just a black or white backdrop! Yippee :0)

For The Boys
For The Boys
Model: Jena Souza

Photographer: Blush Boudoir

Comment: Jena gives a salute to our Boys in the Navy. She is a stunning model and so wonderful to work with. This was the first time I've worked with Lisa at Blush. Hopefully we will have many more shoots to come. Stay tuned :0)

Fairy

Comment: This beautiful young lady always wanted to be a fairy.
It’s hard to see her ears and wings in this photo, but they looked amazing.
Unfortunately, this is the only photo I got from this shoot.

She's in her birthday suit, but you can Harley tell :0)

Model: Athena

Comment: Halloween 2014.... What a blast!!! Athena came to me with the idea of transforming her into Medusa. We both worked on the costume and props. It was my first time applying a prosthetic brow and working with my airbrush and stencils. I learned a ton on this one and had sooooo much fun!

Model: Lorraine

Photographer: Paul Lomolino

Comment: This was painted and photographed at The Gravedigger’s Ball in Sacramento.
What an OFF THE CHAIN event that was!!! I also have to thank John Place and Monster Pasties for an awesome product. What a great way to ensure modesty when painting a model in public.

Blossom
Blossom
Model: Nomi Mars

Photographer: Michael Pisias

Comment: This was Michael’s baby. He came up with the concept and put together the props, model, studio, etc. I had the luxury of simply showing up and painting some flowers :0)

Nomi and Michael were an absolute joy to work with.

On Fire
On Fire
Photographer: Paul Lomolino

Comment: Body painting/photo sessions sure do make for a special and unique gift!
This hot young lady gave this as a gift to her husband who is a fire fighter. I did the flames with airbrush on her back... photographed... then painted her front.... photographed... and melded it all together.
I’m sure this gift lit his fire :0)

Alura Deveau
Alura Deveau
Model: Lorraine

Comment: This was my second 1st place win in a body painting competition.
“Her” name is Alura Deveau. She commands the trees to milk the life force out of the glow bugs. She drinks this to remain eternally young and beautiful.
I rigged little blinking lights into the headpiece so it gave the illusion of trapped glow bugs. Looked pretty cool.

Trolls
Trolls
Photographer: Paul Lomolino

Comment: 70s lounge theme for Uptown Studios new facilities grand opening gala.
Tooooooo much fun! Who doesn’t love troll dolls?
I had their company logo on her back and the Sacramento skyline silhouette on the hem of her “dress.” CAN YOU DIG IT?

For Trina
For Trina
Model: Trina

Photographer: Paul Lomolino

Comment: A bucket list/birthday present to herself!
She loves flowers, bicycling and the color purple (the actual color... not the movie).
We came up with this design together. She was so fun to work with. We were in stitches the whole time :0) You’re awesome Trina!
